Last month in my syndicated travel column, I wrote about Chocolate Turtle Bed and Breakfast outside of Albuquerque, NM. The hospitality shown fellow wine-lover Melanie Nelson and me during January’s New Mexico Wine Tour was outstanding. I guess we weren’t the only guests to get the “special treatment.”

Chocolate Turtle Bed and Breakfast chosen as one of the Top 10 B&Bs and Inns in the US

This week I learned that the Chocolate Turtle Bed and Breakfast was chosen as one of the Top 10 B&Bs and Inns in the United States (out of HUNDREDS of B&B’s, I must add) with the help of guest reviews on TripAdvisor®. If you enjoy being treated like someone special, then the Chocolate Turtle is for you. And 100% of the Turtle’s 147 TripAdvisor guests agree.

The cozy retreat was singled out by TripAdvisor® in its recent 2011 Travelers’ Choice® awards. “With the help of millions of travelers around the globe, TripAdvisor is thrilled to recognize the world’s most outstanding hotels and B&Bs and inns for the ninth year of the Travelers’ Choice Awards,” said Karen Drake, senior director of communications for TripAdvisor. “From the best bargain hotels and to best luxury hotels, B&Bs and inns, remarkable service, value and quality are the hallmarks of our Travelers’ Choice winners.”

Chocolate Turtle Bed and Breakfast in Corrales, a historic farming village on the Rio Grande near Albuquerque is just a short drive from Santa Fe, NM.

Warm hospitality and southwestern charm describes this four-guestroom B&B with private baths, full breakfasts, and high speed wireless internet. The Chocolate Turtle is a perfect getaway, while being close to working studios, art galleries, historic sites, local restaurants, shopping, and wineries. Walking along the historic Spanish acequias, bird watching in the Bosque (habitat for 183 species of birds) and biking are enjoyable in the mild climate. Roadrunners, quail, and cottontails entertain guests while they unwind on the portal while watching the ever-changing Sandia Mountains.  Click here to discover more fun things to do in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
