Tubac Golf Resort and Spa, a setting perfect for a romantic comedy
So alluring is the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa that it was chosen by Hollywood insiders as the setting for a romantic comedy starring Kevin Costner and Rene Russo. Parts of the film Tin Cup were filmed in the delightful Stables Ranch Grille restaurant, on the Island Green and near a famous hiking trail.
Located along the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, the romantic resort is also perfect for people who like to hike together. Hikers will enjoy the historic trail as they following the Santa Cruz River that runs through the 500-acre resort. The Anza Trail is designated as a National Historic Trail to commemorate the 1200 miles that members of a Spanish colonial expedition walked and rode on horseback in 1775-1776.
Hacienda Suite with sunken living area and gas fireplace
After a leisurely hike, we recommend that love birds retire to a 650-square-foot Hacienda Suite with sunken living area and gas fireplace. Bring bath salts for the large jetted tub and a bottle of champagne for the fridge. Hikers could lounge in the bathrobes provided on the patio, or they could borrow the DVD from the front desk and watch Tin Cup on the flat screen television. Guests can take advantage of other romantic amenities including a Couples Massage in the new, upscale spa or a dreamy dinner at The Stables Ranch Grille.
The Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is located at One Otero Road in Tubac Arizona, just 35-minutes from Tucson. The resort is set on 500 lush acres at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains on the historic Otero Ranch. A member of Historic Hotels of America, this iconic resort features a 27-hole championship golf course, a full service spa and salon, Stables Ranch Grille and boutique shopping. Adjacent to the resort, the Village of Tubac is home to over 100 shops, galleries and eateries.
